Dr. Peter Kohrs

Rein Medical completes its management team and makes Dr. Peter Kohrs the second Managing Director alongside Stephan Rein. He succeeds Dieter Cyganek, who has retired after almost 30 years with one of Germany’s and Europe’s leading medical IT providers. Dr. Kohrs will assume responsibility for the Technology, Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs departments. “I am looking forward to the collaboration, which already started on January 1. Together, Dr. Kohrs and I will focus our energy on driving Rein Medical forward and shaping a successful future together with our customers,” says Rein. At the beginning of the year, Dr. Kohrs joined Rein Medical as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from surgical light manufacturer Dr. Mach GmbH & Co. The 43-year-old married family man has been working in the medical market as Head of Development and Technical Director since completing his degree in industrial engineering in Hamburg and his doctorate in 2014. With a new management team, Rein Medical intends to continue the realignment of the company that has already begun. “We are undergoing continuous improvement processes in order to consistently adapt the company to changing market conditions,” says Dr. Kohrs. He sees one of his primary tasks as optimizing the company’s processes and thus increasing efficiency. This creates space to focus not only on the company’s own strengths, but also on the needs of the customer. “Users will notice this in the form of process-optimized structures,” says the new second Managing Director.
