History

Rein EDV-Systeme was founded in 1994 by Stephan and Dieter Cyganek and expanded to include medical IT in 2000. Since 2010, the company has focused entirely on this area. In 2022, the management team was reorganized and Dr. Peter Kohrs joined Stephan Rein as Managing Director. In November 2024, Dr. Kohrs took over as sole Managing Director, and Ansgar Haase joined the management team as the second Managing Director in April 2025.

On March 1, 2018, JVCKENWOOD Corporation was introduced as the new owner. JVCKENWOOD is a leading company in the development and manufacture of technologically advanced audio, video and wireless communication solutions.
